About Shustha Jibon
SHUSTHA JINON has been working for up-holding human rights of Hijra and Transgender in Bangladesh with the support of relevant stakeholders since 2000. SHUSTHA JIBON got registration from the Ministry of Social Welfare in 2005 (Reg. No. Dha-07891 dated 27-03-2005).
Recently SHUSTHA JIBON have got approval from Non-Government Organization Affairs Bureau, Bangladesh Government on 21-04-2023, Reg. no. 3375.
SHUSTHA JINON is the first organization which has got the Register Certificate from NGO Affairs Bureau, from the Bangladesh Government.
It is established with the first and foremost aim of eliminating any kind of discrimination against any social groups especially to the Hijra and Transgender minorities to live with equal rights and dignity across the country leading to promotion of their socio-economic condition.
Last two decades, SHUSTHA JIBON tried to bring positive changes through advocacy, workshop, training, collaboration and countrywide community networking with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Bandhu Social Welfare Society, BLAST, ICDDR,B and FHI360 and so on. SHUSTHA JIBON has done some great projects for equality and social justice that made many remarkable achievements following SDG.
OUR MISSION
To establish socially respectable, acceptable and equal rights bases for protection of legal, social and human rights, comprehensive health care, and wellbeing improvement of the marginalized communities, especially of the Hijra and Transgender communities to live with dignity, through culturally responsive advocacy, education, partnerships, and services.
OUR VISION
To build a fully affirming society where all people, regardless of gender identity, expression and sexual orientation, enjoy full acceptance, equality and human rights to live in good health, safety, prosperity, dignity and respect.

- Socio-economic development of the marginalized poor specially for the Hijra community.

- Improvement of the environment, health and nutrition status of the marginalized group within the working area.

- Reduce the misery of the natural disaster affected population.
- Work to assist in reducing population growth.
- Elimination of drug abuses.
- Poverty elimination and employment generation.
